There are no breed restriction or size restriction of dogs. All are welcome :)
Payment Policy? :
Initial consultation is free!
Payment is billed per walk or per visit. Cash discount for bi monthly or monthly payment.
- For dog walking - payment is due weekly and must be paid on time. A late fee may be charged for past due amounts. Schedule a walk as needed! We will accommodate every dog the best we can, but clients with weekly walks schedule will be given priority.
- For dog sitting - 50% of total amount will be paid after booking to hold spot. This is a nonrefundable amount. The second portion of the total amount will be paid upon the start of service. All payments must be paid when requested & a late fee may be charged for past due amounts.
- For cat visits - 50% of total amount will be paid after booking to hold spot. This is a nonrefundable amount. The second portion of the total amount will be paid upon the start of service. All payments must be paid when requested & a late fee may be charged for past due amounts.
Cancellation Policy? :
Walks: No refunds/credits for cancellations with less than 24-hour business day (Mon-Fri) notice. Also, the rate of the walk will be charged if dog is not at home for the scheduled pick up time.
Dogsitting: Half of the total amount due will be paid at the time of booking, that half is nonrefundable. Second half of total amount due will not be charged if notified within 48-hour notice before start date.
Cat Visits/Catsitting/Exotic Animal Visits: Half of the total amount due will be paid at the time of booking, that half is nonrefundable. Second half of total amount due will not be charged if notified within 48-hour notice before start date.
Holiday Hours? :
Please contact for holidays hours - please note that there is a holiday surcharge for US Federal holidays.
Boarding?:
Sorry :( Downward Dog does not currently offer boarding. We only provide dogsitting for existing clients at their home. But! We are highly connected in the pet care world in the Bay Area, so please do not hesitate to ask for referrals.
Group Walks? :
Downward Dog has just included group walks as an option! As of SEPT 2023, we are not accepting any new dogs for group outings or solo walks. If you are looking for cat visits andexotic pets visits please inquire via email for future availability! Please see the Woof! page for more info.
